Aqua Reclaim

Aqua Reclaim is a public-facing interactive project that simulates the ecological degradation of a lake caused by human activities. It visualizes the consequences of untreated industrial wastewater and the excessive use of chemical cleaning agents in daily life, both of which contribute to harmful algal blooms and ecological imbalance.

By allowing users to interact with and purify a polluted lake, Aqua Reclaim encourages reflection on the environmental impact of seemingly minor daily habits. Players navigate between a macroscopic lake environment and a microscopic water sample, observing how their actions in one scale affect the other. Through this shifting perspective, the project aims to foster an emotional connection with the natural water cycle and empower players to take meaningful steps toward environmental protection.
